Drapery

What is drapery?

Drapery pertains to any cloth curtains that hang in loose folds. Drapery includes fabric panels used to cover windows. While curtains are generally cut to fit a window or drop a few centimeters below it, drapes are generally made from thicker fabrics and cut to floor length or slightly puddle on the floor. Regardless of what length and thickness you prefer, Tahoe Specialty Flooring & Window Design has options for your home.

Best Places for Drapery

Because drapes must be mounted along a rod above the window, we recommend these types of coverings for tall windows with plenty of wall space above them. Drapes go great in living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, and more.

Why We Love drapery

In addition to complimenting your decor, drapery boosts energy efficiency, comfort, visual appeal, and privacy. For instance, draperies with backings can lower heat gain by 33%.

What We Offer

Our drapery fabrics are thoughtfully curated, including an exclusive collection from NY designer Rebecca Atwood. They are designed to layer with all Hunter Douglas window treatments. Complete your unique look by choosing complementary side panels, draperies and shades, and additional fabric by the yard for coordinated pillows or furniture.
